Kossakowski, Woroch, Peśla - meet us
Kossakowski, Woroch and Peśla will be the guests of the meeting at the Ostrów Cultural Center (November 15). The meeting is a part of the promotional campaign of the city entitled "I am only disabled".
- Disability should not define anyone. This is the main message of the campaign. That will be one of the subjects of the meeting with our guests: Przemysław Kossakowski, Michał Woroch and Dariusz Peśla. They are very inspiring personalities who will tell us unique stories- says Beata Klimek, Mayor of Ostrów Wielkopolski.
The meeting will be held at Ostrów Cultural Center on November 15 at 6 pm. You can pick up free tickets at the ticket office of the center.
Michał Woroch is a traveler, photographer, creator of the "Wheelchair trip" project. Przemysław Kossakowski is a journalist and traveler who has been associated with TTV television for years. Dariusz Peśla is a citizen of Ostrów Wielkopolski , journalist, writer, regionalist historian, activist for improving the situation of people with disabilities.
In Ostrów Wielkopolski there live around 7,000 people with disabilities. Every tenth of us is such a person. They suffer mainly from dysfunctions of the musculoskeletal system, vision defects and intellectual disabilities.
The campaign "I am only disabled" - TV spots, billboards, leaflets, meetings of disabled people with residents" is a part of the project "E-Ostrów 2050 - Ecological, Energy, Economic City", which is implemented with the participation of funds obtained by the city from the Mechanism of the Financial European Economic Area under the "Local Development" programme.
The project's partner is the Ostrów’ citizens for Children of Special Care Association.
