New roads in the investment zone
Currently, there are carried out dynamics works in the investment area zone at Wrocławska Street. While, the work on the retention reservoir is being finished, a new road system is being built.
- Currently, we are building the road parallel to Wrocławska Street. The last stage of the new road system connects Wysocka and Wrocławska streets. This investment is to be completed in the first half of this year. Since 2017, we have invested over PLN 2.5 million to prepare this area. These costs include: the retention reservoir, roads and rainwater drainage system - says Mikołaj Kostka, deputy mayor of Ostrów Wielkopolski.
A rainwater drainage system has already been installed in the entire area of the zone. Now, there are carried out the works on the construction of new roads, and, at the same time, on the construction of the retention reservoir. These tasks are adapted to the works carried out by investors who intensively build new halls.
- Ostrów Wielkopolski has not yet had its own investment zone. Now the city has 14 ha of land on which Polish and foreign companies will be located. What’s important, all areas are already occupied. It means that many new jobs will be crated - adds Beata Klimek, mayor of Ostrów Wielkopolski.
The task is carried out under the project "E-Ostrów 2050 - Ecological, Energy, Economic City" co-financed by the EEA Funds, which represent the contribution of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway to the creation of a green, competitive and inclusive Europe.
