The Public Utilities and Environmental Protection Department and the Urban Transport Department inform that the task entitled: " The research of passenger flows through the analysis of transport needs of residents " has been completed.
The tests were carried out in the period from 17 to 30 September 2022. It included 31 public transport lines operated by Municipal Public Transportation Company of Ostrów Wielkopolski, in the area of the Inter-Commune Agreements concluded with the Municipality of Ostrów Wielkopolski.
The tests were carried out on 2 working days, on 1 Saturday and 1 Sunday and included, among others: the number of passengers getting on, getting off and staying in the vehicle.
The results of the research will help to obtain information on the use of the current transport offer and possible optimization of the network of bus connections.
The project was implemented as part of the project "E-Ostrów 2050 - Ecological, Energy, Economic City" co-financed by the EEA Financial Mechanism 2014-2021 and the state budget.
